Apothecary is an upcoming Malayalam medical thriller film directed by Madhav Ramadasan and is produced by Dr. George Mathew and Dr. Baby Mathew in the banner of Arambankudiyil Cinemas. The movie stars Suresh Gopi, Jayasurya and Asif Ali in lead roles. The film marks the comeback of actress Abhirami. Meera Nandan also plays an important role in the film. The film is set to release on August 2014. The story was devoloped by Ramadasan and co-writer Hemanth Kumar. The cinematography is handled by Hari Nair.
The official trailer of 'Melvilasam' fame Madhav Ramdasan's upcoming movie 'appothikkiri' got released recently. The two minutes trailer, which clearly showcases the movie as a medical thriller, has got good responses from different corners. Suresh Gopi is playing the lead role in this movie as Dr. Vijay Nambiar. Apothecary is also a comeback movie for actress Abhirami.
The movie is said to hit the screen on this August. Scripting of the movie is done by Madhav Haridasan and Hemnath Kumar. Music is composed by Sheikh Ellahi and Hari Nair is said to handle the camera work. Jayasurya, Asif Ali, Meera Nandan, Indrans, Kavitha Nair, Seema G Nair etc are the others on lead.
Madhav Ramadasan's debut movie 'Melvilasam' got released in the year 2011. The movie which saw Suresh Gopi and Tamil actor Parthiban on lead, was very well acclaimed by the critics. The film dealt with the court martial procedure of a Dalit soldier enacted by 'Parthiban'.
